The Prodigy Announce First New York Show in 17 Years

After nearly two decades of absence from New York, The Prodigy are officially set to return. The legendary UK act will headline a special daytime show at Brooklyn’s Under The K Bridge on Friday, September 25th, marking their first NYC appearance in 17 years.

The event will also feature a cutting-edge support lineup including Brutalismus 3000, Sextile, and Lip Critic, bridging raw underground energy with The Prodigy’s explosive legacy. Fans can already register for ticket pre-sale access as demand builds around what is expected to be one of the standout shows of the season.

A Long-Awaited Return to New York

The upcoming Brooklyn show follows a gradual reappearance of The Prodigy on the US circuit. The group recently performed at Coachella and delivered a high-impact set at EDC Las Vegas, which was also live-streamed to a global audience.

Their absence from New York dates back to a planned US tour in 2019, which was ultimately cancelled after the tragic passing of frontman Keith Flint. For many fans, this return carries emotional significance, marking not only a comeback but a continuation of the group’s legacy.

UK & Ireland Tour Ahead of NYC Date

Before heading to Brooklyn, The Prodigy will tour the UK and Ireland this August for a series of four outdoor shows. The run includes major names from across the electronic spectrum, such as Carl Cox, Andy C, and ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, reinforcing the group’s ongoing connection to both legacy and new-school rave culture.

Why The Prodigy Remain One of Electronic Music’s Most Unique Acts

The Prodigy have never fit neatly into one genre. Their sound is a volatile fusion of breakbeat, rave, punk, techno, and industrial influences, built to hit both the body and the psyche at full force. Where many electronic acts focus on precision and polish, The Prodigy thrive on controlled chaos: distorted synths, aggressive rhythms, and vocals that feel closer to rebellion than performance.

Emerging from the UK’s early rave scene, they redefined what electronic music could be by injecting it with rock-level intensity and attitude. Their tracks don’t just play in clubs, they erupt, transforming dancefloors into something closer to live concert energy.

A Legacy That Still Shapes Electronic Music

Decades into their career, The Prodigy remain globally revered not simply because of nostalgia, but because of their lasting cultural impact. They were among the first electronic acts to break fully into the mainstream without compromising the raw spirit of rave culture.

Their influence can be heard across multiple genres today, from big beat to electro-punk and modern bass music. More importantly, they helped establish electronic music as something visceral and confrontational, not just atmospheric or background.

Even now, their music continues to resonate with new generations. In an era driven by algorithms and fleeting trends, The Prodigy stand as a reminder that some sounds don’t age, they ignite.
