Once known as Hotel Es Vivé, located just steps from Ses Figueretes Beach, a few minutes away from Ibiza Town’s old town “Dalt Vila”, the property was acquired and reimagined under Messi’s MiM Hotels brand, turning it into one of the island’s most stylish hideaways.

The first thing you’d notice entering MiM Ibiza is its bold Art Deco–inspired aesthetic. Sleek lines, geometric patterns, warm lighting, and a palette that balances elegance with Ibiza’s laid-back vibe create an atmosphere that is simultaneously chic and relaxed. Rooms and suites are thoughtfully appointed, many with sea views, plush bedding, and the kind of subtle luxury that makes a stay feel effortless rather than extravagant.

The hotel’s crown jewel is its Sky Bar, a rooftop oasis where guests sip cocktails overlooking the Mediterranean. With ambient music and sunset panoramas, it’s a favorite both for travelers seeking serenity and locals in search of a stylish evening venue.

Built in 1959 as a boutique hotel, the mid-20th-century building was noted for its Art Deco–inspired design, giving it a distinctive “Miami‑style Art Deco flair that now defines its character. This design wasn’t original to the 1959 structure but was introduced during a substantial renovation in 2014 led by British interior designer Sean Cochrane before Lionel Messi’s MiM Hotels brand, in partnership with the Majestic Hotel Group, took over the property in 2018. The redesign blended mid-century architecture with contemporary luxury — from the lobby and guest rooms to the rooftop and pool areas — creating the stylish aesthetic the hotel is known for today.

In late 2025, the hotel entered a new era when it joined the Meliá Collection, gaining the backing of one of Spain’s top luxury hotel groups. The result is a seamless blend of boutique character and elevated service — a natural fit for a property associated with a global icon making it one of the new Ibiza luxury landmarks. “I’m sure this is going to enhance everyone’s experience” the soccer player said.
