What began as a love letter to disco, soul, and house music culture has grown into one of the island’s most recognisable and cherished residencies. As the 2026 season approaches, Glitterbox enters a bold new chapter — leaving Hï Ibiza behind and embracing a new future at Amnesia.
Glitterbox was launched by Defected Records in 2014, born out of a desire to reconnect modern clubbing with the roots of dance music. Inspired by disco’s freedom, Chicago house’s soul, and New York’s underground energy, Glitterbox quickly stood apart. From the start, the party was about more than just DJs. Performers, dancers, costumes, and radical inclusivity became just as important as the music. What began in clubs across the UK and Europe soon became a global brand, with Ibiza being the ultimate destination.
Glitterbox arrived at Hï Ibiza during the club’s inaugural season in 2017. Over the next eight years, the Sunday night residency became a cornerstone of modern Ibiza nightlife. For many clubbers, Glitterbox at Hï defined an era — glamorous, confident, and unmistakably international. Yet as the venue leaned further into futuristic clubbing and hyper-polished production, some long-time fans felt the party’s raw, rebellious edge was ready for a new setting. By the end of the 2025 season, the message was clear: the Hï chapter was complete.
For 2026, Glitterbox makes a defining move to Amnesia, one of the island’s most legendary and iconic venues and this shift is far more than a simple change of venue; it is a symbolic realignment with Ibiza’s essence. Amnesia embodies the island’s past, present, and future in equal measure — a club forged in freedom and hedonism, celebrated for marathon nights that dissolve into sunrise and for a raw, untamed dancefloor energy that resists polish and perfection.
