Amelie Lens and Angèle Unite on New Single Run Ahead of AURA Album Release

Two of Belgium’s most internationally celebrated artists are joining forces. Amelie Lens and Angèle have announced their collaborative single “Run,” which is set for release on August 7. The track marks the only collaboration on Amelie Lens’ highly anticipated second studio album, AURA, arriving on September 4 via EXHALE Records.

The announcement follows weeks of anticipation after Angèle made a surprise appearance during Amelie Lens’ headline set at Dour Festival, where the pair premiered the track live for the first time.

A Meeting of Two Belgian Icons

Although Amelie Lens and Angèle come from different musical worlds, their collaboration reflects the increasingly fluid boundaries between electronic music and contemporary pop.

On “Run,” Angèle’s smooth, intimate vocals are layered over Amelie Lens’ signature driving techno production, combining fast paced percussion, futuristic synthesizers and cinematic atmospheres. The result is a record that retains the energy of the dancefloor while introducing a melodic and emotional dimension rarely heard in Lens’ productions.

The single stands apart as the only featured collaboration on AURA, making it one of the album’s most anticipated moments.

The Next Chapter for AURA

First announced in May alongside the lead single “Our Frequency,” AURA marks Amelie Lens’ return to the album format after years of building one of techno’s most influential careers.

The project will be released through EXHALE Records, the label founded by Amelie Lens in 2018. Originally launched as an outlet for her own productions, EXHALE has evolved into one of the leading platforms for contemporary techno, introducing a new generation of artists while expanding into sold out events and festival stages across the world.

Rather than simply serving as a collection of club tracks, AURA has been presented as one of Amelie Lens’ most personal projects to date, exploring both powerful peak time moments and more introspective soundscapes.

A Personal Milestone

Amelie Lens has described “Run” as one of the most meaningful tracks of her career, revealing that she hopes it will be the first song her baby hears after being born later this year.

That personal connection adds a unique emotional depth to the release, making the collaboration more than just a meeting of two Belgian artists. It captures a pivotal moment where music, creativity and motherhood intersect, giving “Run” a significance that extends well beyond the dancefloor.

Celebrating AURA in Antwerp

The release of AURA will be followed by one of the biggest headline shows of Amelie Lens’ career. On September 5, she will perform a special open air event at Antwerp’s Royal Museum of Fine Arts, produced in collaboration with the City of Antwerp.

With a capacity of 14,000 people, the event will run from 2 PM until 11 PM, transforming one of Belgium’s most prestigious cultural landmarks into a large scale celebration of electronic music and the launch of AURA.

As anticipation continues to build, “Run” offers listeners an early glimpse into the sonic direction of the album while bringing together two artists who have each helped redefine Belgian music on the international stage.
