Berlin-based electronic music collective Keinemusik performed their Kloud series in Saudi Arabia’s historic AlUla region on April 4th. The event marked the first time the group brought their show to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, combining music with the dramatic desert landscape.
Adam Port, &ME, and Rampa performed against a backdrop of AlUla’s ancient sandstone formations, delivering their mix of techno, deep house, and afrobeats to an international audience. The natural acoustics and setting of the location created a distinctive atmosphere for both performers and attendees.
Keinemusik, formed in 2009, has developed a reputation for independent artistic direction within electronic music. Their arrival in AlUla represents the growing cultural scene in Saudi Arabia, where historic locations are increasingly hosting contemporary music events.
For a region primarily known for its archaeological significance, the performance demonstrates AlUla’s evolution into a venue for international artists. The ancient trade route that once connected civilizations now serves as a meeting point for global music fans.
The success of this event suggests the universal appeal of bringing music to unexpected places, creating new experiences in locations previously untouched by electronic music culture.
