House DJ & Producer Jamie Roy dies suddenly

Scottish House DJ & producer Jamie Roy has died.

The family of Jamie Roy announced this morning (21st) the passing of Jamie Roy on Social Media.

No cause of death has been shared at the time of writing.

“Jamie passed away yesterday,” the statement reads. “Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew, and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both within the music industry and beyond that. We are all absolutely heartbroken.”

Jamie was a much-loved industry figure and well-respected producer, Jamie released records on labels including Ultra, Toolroom, Patrick Topping’s Trick, and Repopulate Mars, as well as Kaluki Music and Lost Audio.

In the past year, he had performed at events around the world, including Unum festival in Albania, Sonic Festival in Croatia, and BPM Festival in Costa Rica.

Jamie’s death comes days after he announced the release of his “biggest track” Let Us Sing with one of “the biggest producers on earth”.

We are all absolutely heartbroken! Rest in peace Jamie. ♥
